This Candidate Consent & Data Use Agreement (“Consent”) explains how American Trade Jobs (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Company”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you apply for jobs or use our staffing services.
BY SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION OR PROVIDING YOUR INFORMATION TO US, YOU CONSENT TO THE PRACTICES DESCRIBED IN THIS DOCUMENT.

When you apply for a position through American Trade Jobs, we may collect the following personal information:

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Sharing Your Information with Employers
BY APPLYING THROUGH AMERICAN TRADE JOBS, YOU CONSENT TO US SHARING YOUR INFORMATION WITH POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS.
3.1 What We Share
When we present your profile to employers, we may share:
- Your name and contact information
- Your resume and work history
- Your skills, certifications, and qualifications
- Your job preferences and availability
- References and recommendations
- Background check or drug test results (with your consent)
3.2 Employer Use of Your Information
Once we share your information with an employer:
- The employer becomes responsible for protecting your information
- The employer’s privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy
- We are NOT responsible for how employers use, store, or protect your information
- Employers may retain your information for their own records and future opportunities
3.3 Multiple Employers
Your information may be shared with multiple employers if you are a match for multiple job opportunities. You consent to this practice by submitting your application.
4. Data Retention
4.1 How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to:
- Provide staffing and recruiting services
- Match you with job opportunities
- Comply with legal and regulatory requirements
- Maintain business records
4.2 Retention Period
Typically, we retain candidate information for:
- Active candidates: As long as you are actively seeking employment through us
- Inactive candidates: Up to [2-5 years] after your last interaction with us
- Placed candidates: Records may be retained longer for business and legal compliance purposes
4.3 Application Information via Tenstreet
Application information submitted through Tenstreet is stored on Tenstreet’s servers and retained according to their data retention policies. We do NOT control Tenstreet’s retention practices.
5. Your Rights and Choices
5.1 Right to Access
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you. Contact us to request a copy of your information.
5.2 Right to Correction
If your information is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request corrections. Contact us to update your information.
5.3 Right to Deletion (Removal)

- Information already shared with employers cannot be deleted from their systems
- Deletion may prevent us from considering you for future job opportunities

- Clicking the “unsubscribe” link in our emails
- Contacting us directly
- Updating your communication preferences
Note: Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you important service-related messages (e.g., application status updates).
5.5 Right to Withdraw Consent
You may withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time by contacting us. However, withdrawal of consent may prevent us from providing staffing services to you.
6. Data Security
6.1 How We Protect Your Information
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Security measures include:
- Secure servers and encrypted data transmission
- Access controls and authentication

6.2 No Absolute Security
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

We are NOT responsible for the security practices of:
- Employers who receive your information
- Tenstreet or other third-party platforms
- Third-party websites or services
7. Third-Party Services
7.1 Tenstreet
We use Tenstreet Quick Apply for job applications. When you submit an application through Tenstreet:
- Your application information is stored on Tenstreet’s secure servers
- Tenstreet’s privacy policy governs their use of your information
- We access your application through Tenstreet’s platform
- Tenstreet may share your information with us and employers

7.2 Other Third Parties
We may use other third-party service providers for:
- Background checks and screening
- Drug testing services
- Email and communication services
- Data storage and hosting
These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
