New CDL-A Drivers – Paid Training Program | Richmond, VA

Just earned your CDL-A? Get paid while you gain real over-the-road experience.

If you’re a newly licensed CDL-A driver in the Richmond area and want a strong, structured start—not a dead-end trainee seat—this paid OTR training program is designed to help you build experience, confidence, and steady income from day one.

This is a career-focused opportunity for drivers who want stability, consistency, and long-term growth in trucking.

Pay & Compensation

  • Training Pay: $650 per week for 4–6 weeks

  • Solo Pay After Upgrade: $1,000–$1,400+ per week

  • Mileage Pay: $0.43–$0.51 CPM (experience based)

  • Stop Pay: $15 per stop once solo

  • Pay Schedule: Weekly direct deposit

Most drivers transition to solo status quickly after completing training requirements.

Equipment & Freight

  • Late-model automatic tractors assigned after upgrade

  • No-touch dry van freight

  • Mix of drop & hook and live load/unload

  • Consistent nationwide lanes

The goal is simple: learn the job correctly, safely, and without unnecessary stress.

Schedule & Operating Area

  • OTR Schedule: 12–14 days out with a 34-hour home reset

  • Operating Area: Lower 48 states after training

  • Driver Base: Richmond, VA metro area

This is a true over-the-road position built to establish experience and dependable miles.

Program Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A license (recent graduates encouraged)

  • Ability to run OTR for two consecutive weeks

  • Must live within 200 miles of Richmond, VA

  • Safety-focused, dependable, and coachable

Who This Is Best For

  • Recent CDL school graduates

  • Entry-level CDL-A drivers

  • Drivers seeking their first stable OTR role

  • Individuals committed to a long-term trucking career

This Program Is Not a Fit For

  • Drivers looking for local or home-daily routes

  • Part-time or short-term positions

  • Anyone unwilling to operate OTR

Clear expectations help everyone succeed.

After Training

Once upgraded, drivers receive assigned equipment, consistent dispatch, and steady weekly miles. Pay becomes predictable, and drivers can focus on building experience—not wondering where the next load is coming from.
